To prove that I am nowhere near being a clone of someone we all know, here is what Briana does to my living rooom! Every day! God help me.
I have treid everything that I know of to stop her from doing this. Apparently, according to her behavior specialist, it is due to her autism. She needs to have her stuff around her. It comforts her. It gives me anxity attacks! And as a matter of fact, I do own Toys R us! Have you ever seen so many toys? And they are all hers! You don't want to see what's in her room! LOL
You have no idea how much better you just made me feel, LOL.
ReplyDeleteGlad to help out! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove it, it looks like home!!
ReplyDeleteAw - Candy could probably have this cleaned up in 5 or 10 minutes!! Looks like my living room at the end of a day.
ReplyDeleteYou're a good mama to put aside yourself to let your dd get what she needs. I'd have to pop xanax like pez, but if my child needed it to feel comforted, I'd let her have at it.
ReplyDeleteIf she's happy, it's all good. Cleanliness and organization should always take a back seat to comfort, love, growth, etc.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI have an 8 year old daughter (Mary Anne) who also has Autism. She still has days when all of her toys look like yours. She is high functioning, but HATES to clean up anything at home. She will do it in school or at someones home (somewhat), but here...forget it!
I feel your pain :)

I am thinking of the song I sang tiredly when my kids were small...clean- up, clean-up, everybody everyone!!!
ReplyDeleteTrust me someday you will regain your family room.
Thanks for swinging by the farm!
